FUCK.

stab me in the heart. like six times.

i know it's been awhile, but i've been busy watching this laker gat dang championship series. and i'm watching the final game right now (yes final, cuz the lakers are just showing that they just did NOT FUCKING WANT IT).

what's the best metaphor can i use for how i feel right now?

- it's like having a long-time relationship (from the 80s, circa magic and james worthy and ac green) where you've put all your faith in a solid relationship and the first time they fuck up (ahem, game 1), you think, alright that was just one time. and then they stab you in the heart one mo' gin (i.e. game 4), but then suck it up and you have faith in the relationship and then they just fuck you over... one play... one game... at a time. it hurts goddamnit!

myeh. i must say this run has built a lot of camaraderie across friends, family, students, etc. even laker hater patrick feels the pain! i haven't yelled, talked so much shit, texted so much, or had my blood pressure rise so much in a damn while... there's gonna be a lot of depressed heads tomorrow cuz it's all over. what can i say..... BYNUM OH-FUCKING-NINE!! BAH!

now i gotta figure how exactly i'm gonna drown my sorrows...

I agree... "FUCK" the Lakers.

FUCK kobe.

That pompous bastard is about 5 months away from crying to the media for a trade. I have no idea why Lakers fans are so oblivious to how bitch made Kobe is. Are you fools watching the same thing that I am - when he bitches out his teammates in public. You ever read "The Last Season" written by Phil Jackson, pretty much deconstructing how selfish Kobe is? You ever realize what could have been if Kobe never ran Shaq out of town. (BTW - Shaq already proved he was the key to all those rings by winning another ring with another team). Remember when Kobe publicly called out Karl Malone for supposedly hitting on his wife? Oh, and that thing in Colorado... I'm not saying he isn't great on the basketball court. But when you add it all up - his lack of character, his lack of care for teammates, I don't think he'll ever bring LA another ring. Starting with this tonights loss.

Let it burn baby! Fuck Kobe, Fuck the Lakers, woo hoo!

I feel you Steph..

Just to clarify the previous comments made by Bayani (sup Bayani), Kobe actually DID NOT run Shaq out of LA. It was Jerry Buss, who made it clear earlier in the preceeding season that he was traded, that he was going to trade O'neal either way b/c Dr. Buss didn't want to pay Shaq 30 mill per year or 80 mill for 3 yrs.

The following report quotes shaq saying Kobe didn't run him out: http://community.foxsports.com/blogs/Tom7/2007/05/30/Shaq_agrees_Kobe_didnt_run_me_out_of_LA_Jerry_Buss_did)

I also want to point out that Kobe is a victim of the internet age where information is passed so quickly and more than ever, athletes are under the microscope.

MICHAEL JORDAN, as a teammate and player also went threw growing pains similar to KB24. But b/c the internet wasn't what it is today, people couldn't access information like MJ demanding that Head coach, Stan Albeck be let go in the 80's.

We also weren't given real time access to MJ's harsh criticisms of Horace Grant, which inevitably lead to him being sent to Orlando.

There are many examples, but b/c MJ's marketing and PR team was so smart, it was kept under the mat pretty damn well. Today, we have youtube and blogs. During MJ's time, we had to wait for our weekly dose of Sports Illustrated for "inside access" to what a player said.

All in all, I do think Kobe will bring one to the Lakers. Actually, he'll bring AT LEAST 3.

You can quote me on that.
